Laser therapy is a new treatment for cellulite which involves surgery; it is a one-time treatment and known to bring out a best result of a smoother skin and healthier appearance. Laser therapy is the only available treatment that gets rid of the cellulite right from the root and the cause of it. That is it treats the structure of the cellulite itself and delivers a long lasting result. Laser therapy involves the use of lasers such as Cellulaze and CelluSmooth which are FDA approved and clinically proven to be a successful procedure. The laser procedure is performed by a qualified plastic surgeon in which a small incision is made to the cellulite affected area, a probe then inserted through the incision (deep below the skin) and a laser through the probe emits heat thereby melting and completely dissolve the fatty bulge cutting out the fibrous bands on the surface and making way for the skin to stretch.

Although laser surgery can seem like the quick solution is does have some side effects. Some of the most common side effect after the procedure includes; pain, discomfort, swelling, fluid leaking from the incision point etc. most of which will go away in less than 48 hours. The result will continue to improve over the next few months and sometimes your doctor may advice you to wear a compression garment over a period of time depending on the outcome of the procedure. Cellulite can also be reduced through proper diet and exercise. By engaging in strength conditioning training technique you can build up muscles in the body which reduces the buildup of fat. Exercise also helps your skin to appear tauter and tightened which would not allow for the surface to appear lumpy with cellulite.
