Bio-Oil® Overview:
Bio-Oil® is promoted as multi-purpose skin care oil. It is intended to address several cosmetic concerns from scars to stretch marks, uneven skin tone, aging skin and dehydrated skin. Although this multi-purpose oil may be beneficial for multiple skin concerns, it does not contain 100% Silicone. Silicone when used to reduce the look of scars has been proven to be effective. Bio-Oil should be massaged in a circular motion into the scar, twice daily, for a minimum of 3 months. On new scars, Bio-Oil should be applied only once the wound has healed, and should not be used on broken skin.
